BBVSH Welcomes Dr. Maxie Krueger – December 2022

Dr. Maxie Krueger, born and raised in East Berlin, earned her degree as a veterinarian in Germany and Switzerland in 2007. After a rotating internship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and a specialty internship in Cardiology in Bern, Switzerland, Dr. Maxie Krueger completed her residency in veterinary cardiology at the University of Minnesota and board certification in 2013. After working for a year in private practice in Great Britain, followed by a position as an assistant professor in cardiology at the University of Missouri, she relocated to Hong Kong (SAR) for 6 years to join a multi-specialty hospital. Dr. Maxie Krueger then relocated again to Vancouver, to join the cardiology service of her previous resident Dr. Mark Harmon.

Dr. Maxie Krueger enjoys all things cardiology; from diagnostics to conservative medical treatment, to advanced interventional procedures. She does, though, have a special interest in treating arrhythmias.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, cycling, and climbing. Her love for horses and horseback riding will surely be invigorated by her move to British Columbia.

You can read more about Dr. Krueger on her bio page.
