To our referring partner veterinarians, my commitment to you is to ensure I provide continuity of care, 24/7. I will provide cohesive, detailed plans that compliment your case management. I will ensure access to speciality care for our mutual clients and patients, as needed. I will strive to create a comfortable dynamic and space for your clients and guide them in times of uncertainty and stress.
To pet owners, my commitment to you is to treat you and your pet with respect, compassion, and tender loving care. I am committed to outlining diagnostic and treatment plans in relatable terms. My goal is to ensure you are well informed and understand the steps we will take together to help your companion heal, and eventually come home.
Ashton grew up in the lower mainland, three minutes from Boundary Bay! Following vet school at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, she moved to Vancouver Island for three years and began her career as a small animal veterinarian in a quaint, seaside town. She then grew passionate about emergency medicine and this evolving journey eventually lead her back to her stomping grounds and BBVSH! Ashton is passionate about patient care and critical care medicine. When she’s not working, she participates in community outreach programs such as Charlie's Pet Food Bank, where she provides veterinary advice to residents with pets in the Downtown Eastside (DTES), in addition to the Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO), which focuses on an integrative, one health approach to healthcare and wellbeing. She enjoys paddle boarding with her partner, taking her cat and dog for walks along the sea wall, warm weather, yoga, and good conversation!
