Dr. Milan Milovancev

DVM, DACVS-SA

My Commitment To You

To our referring partner veterinarians, my commitment is to work with you as a team, delivering multidisciplinary care to our shared patients. This includes frequent and transparent communication with every effort made to be available for guiding your diagnostic and treatment choices for your patients, both prior to referral as well as in the postoperative setting.
To pet owners, my commitment is to work with you to find the best option that will improve or maintain your furry family member's quality of life. Helping you gain a functional understanding of the options, with pros and cons for each, empowers you to make fully informed decisions as part of the veterinarian-client-patient relationship that I am honored to be a part of.

BIO

Dr. Milovancev graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and completed both rotating and surgical internships at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT before matching to a Small Animal Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Afterwards he worked in private referral practice for two years prior to doing a clinical instructorship in Soft Tissue and Surgical Oncology at North Carolina State University and then started a tenure-track position at Oregon State University.

For the subsequent 10+ years his clinical and research focus was on surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery. A few years after earning tenure, he elected to transition out of academia and into private referral practice to more completely dedicate his efforts to clinical service.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, hiking, backpacking, sailing, XC skiing, and travel. With his spouse, he cares for a mixed breed dog named Elsie, and a Siberian cat named Kiefer.
