Dr. Scott MacMahon is one of the newest ER Veterinarians at our BC hospital. Dr. MacMahon grew up in Calgary, Alberta where he developed a love for animals & the natural world at a very young age. After graduating high school, Dr. MacMahon moved to Saskatoon, SK where he completed an undergraduate degree in Animal Bioscience. Upon graduation, Dr. MacMahon worked as an Animal Protection Officer for the Saskatoon SPCA for several years - enforcing the Animal Protection Act & protecting animals from cruelty, abuse & neglect. Dr. MacMahon then attended veterinary school at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduating from veterinary school with multiple awards, Dr. MacMahon accepted an Emergency & Critical Care Internship at Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital where he was directly trained & mentored by two board-certified critical care specialists (Dr. Jagodich & Dr. Harmon). Upon completion of his internship, Dr. MacMahon elected to stay on at BBVSH as an Emergency Veterinarian. He is excited to serve pets & families within the community and to continue to grow his skillset as an emergency veterinarian.

In his spare time, Dr. MacMahon loves to travel the world & spend as much time outdoors as possible - camping, backpacking, kayaking, scuba diving, downhill skiing, wakeboarding, etc.. He also loves sports & is an avid fan of the NHL, NFL & Formula 1 racing. Dr. MacMahon is also passionate about music and loves attending concerts or any form of live music.
