From simply helping you understand what’s going on with your pet to a full explanation of all your possible options, our goal is to reduce the anxiety of “not knowing” and to provide you with information from a specialist explained in plain language. A journey towards making an informed decision can start with something as simple as coming in for an assessment.
When giving advice on treatment options, our number one concern is the well-being of your pet. We’ll tell you if our services are not needed or we’ll advise you on ways to minimize the financial impact. We promise to give you the same advice that we’d give to a close friend or family member.
When the health of your beloved pet is on the line, rest assured that BBVSH holds VECCS Level 1 facility and VetCOT Provisional Trauma Center certifications. That means you’re getting the experience of specialists and staff who deal with the most challenging, critical cases day in, day out. Board-certified Specialists (meaning the doctors have received years of extra training, and certification by a specialty board), with access to specialized diagnostic equipment and an ICU, will customize a treatment plan for your pet; a treatment plan that isn’t interrupted when a different doctor comes on shift.
Around the clock and every day of the year, Boundary Bay is staffed by veterinary technicians (like nurses for animals) and an on-premises Veterinarian with the capability of calling in Specialists for emergencies. In addition to the specialized medical care that you’d expect in a specialty animal hospital, know that your pet will be doted on with love and affection by our staff. That means they’ll get fed, they’ll go for walks, they’ll get a comfy bed, they’ll get their medications and they’ll get constant hugs and cuddles.
We are committed to staying in communication with you about the status of your pet. We’ll provide you with timely updates and you can call us anytime if it would help put your mind at ease. And, with the exception of immediately after surgery, you can always come and visit your four legged companion after their treatment or while in our care.
Underneath the white coats and surgery scrubs, we are all animal lovers and animal owners (plus we have a few hobby farmers). The reason we got into veterinary medicine is because we love animals. Our promise to you: we’ll approach each case, suggest advice, make decisions and handle your pet as if it were our own. Come in for your initial assessment and give us an opportunity to prove it to you.
Due to the Canada-wide TELUS phone outage, our phone lines are functioning intermittently. If you cannot reach us by phone, please contact us at info@bbvsh.com
