Located in Surrey and proudly serving pet owners across the Greater Vancouver area, Boundary Bay offers specialized veterinary care and 24/7/365 emergency and critical care services to provide peace-of-mind to pet owners and to support primary care veterinarians.
We provide care when pets have an emergency or critical condition, require specialty diagnostics such as CT or MRI, need the extra years of training and experience of a board-certified veterinary specialist, or require specialty treatments such as mechanical ventilation.
If your patient or pet might benefit from a specialty consultation, we encourage a referral from your family veterinarian to a specialist at our hospital. However, if you do not have a family veterinarian, you may contact us directly for an appointment for our specialty services.
For more information about appointments, our specialty services and our board-certified specialists, please see our FAQs page.

As a VECCS Level 1 certified hospital, we are capable of handling even the most critical, life-threatening emergencies and trauma, with specialists on staff and on call to handle any medical or surgical issue your pet may be experiencing.
Should your pet experience a life-threatening emergency, come directly to our hospital. Located in Surrey and easily accessible from anywhere in Metro Vancouver, we’re here when your family vet is closed — no appointment necessary. Your pet’s health can’t wait, and neither do we.
Our board-certified veterinary specialists offer services in critical care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and animal rehabilitation. We work in close partnership with your primary veterinarian to deliver targeted, expert care for complex or chronic conditions.
Using advanced, in-house tools like ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, and MRI, we aim to provide fast, accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. Vancouver pet owners rely on our years of experience and collaborative approach to support their pet’s health when it matters most. At BBVSH, specialty care isn’t an extra – it’s our standard.
We will respond as soon as possible during regular business hours, Monday to Friday.
Please do not use this form for emergencies – come directly to our hospital if your pet is experiencing an emergency.
