My Commitment To You

To our referring partner veterinarians, my commitment is to connect your sickest patient populations with the emergency and specialty resources they need in times of crisis. This collaboration will support informed medical decisions and help guide longer-term treatment plans at primary care facilities.

To pet owners, my commitment is to ensure transparent and honest communication about emergent diagnostic and treatment options. Together, we can create a plan that prioritizes your pet's quality of life.

BIO

Dr. Angela Yu is a proud British Columbian who is thrilled to offer compassionate care to animals throughout the lower mainland and beyond.

Although Angela did not have the opportunity to own pets growing up, she eagerly engaged with animals through volunteering at local shelters and rescues. During this time, she witnessed the profound emotional impact that animals and people had on one another, and decided to pursue a field that did its best to preserve the time and strength of these relationships.

After earning her veterinary education at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) – a busy emergency and specialty hospital in Brooklyn, New York. The experience deepened her appreciation for the dynamic nature of emergency medicine, and taught her the value of a compassionate approach to critical moments.

When left to her own devices, Angela enjoys crochet, checking out new and interesting fitness classes, and hanging out with her human and 3 cats, who all adopted her during her studies in Saskatoon.
