To our referring partner veterinarians, my commitment is to be fully present for each and every patient in their time of need and to maintain clear and consistent communication with our mutual clients throughout their care.
To pet owners, my commitment is to provide clear, straightforward, and honest advice so we can work together to develop a plan that supports you and your companion.
Dr. Clare Peterson is originally from Calgary. She graduated from UBC with a BSc in Animal Biology before venturing to begin her studies in Veterinary Science in Australia. Clare fell in love with the fast pace of emergency medicine while working at a busy ER during Vet School.
When she graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013, she immediately took an internship at The Animal Emergency Service where she spent another 6 years practicing Emergency Medicine. During this time Clare studied for and was awarded a Membership in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine from the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Medicine.
Clare will always love the pace of emergency medicine and helping owners and their fur kids in their time of need but recently her interests have led down another path as well. Clare’s soft spot for senior pets has fuelled her interest in integrative medicine. She is soon to be a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and is looking forward to expanding this knowledge to help our aging pets in the sunset of their lives.
When she’s not at work Clare loves a good book, snowboarding, Pilates, martial arts and spending time with her young family – including her two fur-kids Tate (a crazy Kelpie/Staffy) and Wally (a lazy Wolfhound/Lab).
