I want you to feel confident that our mutual patients and their families are cared for with respect and attention. We work toward the same goal: a positive outcome for every animal.
My commitment to pet owners is to provide care delivered with clarity, empathy, and respect. I will keep you informed, guide you through each step, and help you make decisions with confidence. Your animal’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do.
Dr. Sarah Dyck grew up in a military family and spent her childhood moving through postings in New Brunswick, Alberta, and Ontario. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph in 2016 and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2020. After graduation she moved to Vancouver Island and began her career in mixed animal practice. Working with both large and small animals shaped her early clinical approach and taught her to think dynamically, adapt, and problem solve.
After two years she transitioned into full time small animal emergency medicine. She felt drawn to the fast pace, the strong team environment, and the opportunity to support families during stressful moments. Her own experiences with emergencies involving her family dogs played a meaningful role in her decision to become an emergency veterinarian. For the past three years she worked full time at an emergency hospital on Vancouver Island and continues to provide emergency relief work across BC.
She lives in the Comox Valley with her partner, three horses, and three dogs. Outside of work she spends much of her time riding and exploring new trails. She enjoys backcountry camping, searching for new coffee spots, and taking her dogs to the beach.
