BIO

Dr. Marley Wipond grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She obtained her BSc and completed her veterinary degree at the University of Calgary. During school, she developed a keen interest in emergency and critical care medicine. A desire to further her education took her to Sacramento, California, where she completed a general internship, and then back to Calgary to complete a specialty internship in emergency and critical care. She then completed a residency in emergency and critical care at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in NYC.

Since completing residency, she has moved to the Metro Vancouver area and joined the team at Boundary Bay to continue providing care to animals. Dr. Wipond's interests include shock, resuscitation, toxicities, and sepsis. She is excited to join this team and provide emergency care to pets and their families, and to work closely with referring veterinarians in the area.

Dr. Wipond loves to spend time with her cats, could talk about music all day, and maintains a lifelong love for Harry Potter. She is looking forward to finding out what the West Coast has to offer and to exploring the Vancouver area.
