… And What We Don't Do

We complement the care of primary care veterinarians and partner with them to provide a full spectrum of medicine care.
We do not offer the wellness care, vaccines, or routine medical, dental or surgical procedures that primary care veterinarians normally perform. We provide care when pets have an emergency/critical condition, require specialty diagnostics such as CT or MRI, require the expertise of a board-certified veterinary specialist, or require specialty treatments such as mechanical ventilation.
If your patient or pet has an emergency, BBVSH is here 24/7/365 to help; walk-ins are welcome, no referral is necessary. If your patient or pet might benefit from a specialty consultation, we encourage a referral to a specialist at Boundary Bay Specialty Veterinary Hospital. Being a certified emergency and critical care hospital, we are equipped and staffed – 24 hours/day, 7 days/week – to deal with any eventuality.
