ER Service Open 24/7

BBVSH’s ER service is open 24/7 for walk-in and direct transfer emergencies. Occasionally, if the emergency department is at capacity with urgent life-threatening cases, BBVSH may redirect owners to other nearby emergency facilities.

  • VECCS Provisional Trauma Center: Staffed and equipped to handle any major trauma; certified by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
  • Open 24 / 7 / 365: Our ER & Critical Care department is open 24 / 7 / 365 for all emergency cases. No referral required. Walk-ins welcome.
  • Staff trained in triage: Urgent and emergent cases will be prioritized.
  • Expertise when it counts the most: Our board-certified criticalists and specialists (neurology, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology and radiology) are on-staff – not just travelling specialists who visit our facility. If required, our criticalists and specialists are on-call for after-hours emergencies.
